A multi-functional alignment and installation tool that eliminates manual pencil measurements. Replicates lock dimensions directly onto the door frame, scores the boundaries, and helps complete strike plate mortising efficiently.
Supports Circular or Square Mortise Locks
Equipped with a reversible cartridge holding both square and rounded scoring blades. By sliding the manual guide post on the face of the head, you can switch blade configurations in seconds to match the shape of your strike plate.
Accurate Door Thickness Alignment
Features a detachable 90-degree fence piece designed to slot directly into the tool's head. Adapts to standard residential door thicknesses of 1-3/8 inches and 1-3/4 inches, locking the positioning head securely against the wood door edge.
Integrated Chisel & Screwdriver Bits
Once scored, use the built-in curved metal chisel on the top of the handle to dig out and clean the wood latch pocket. The hollow grip stores two 1-inch screwdriver bits (Phillips and Slotted) which insert into the bottom hex socket to install mounting screws.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you switch between the round and square scoring blades?
Use the slider mechanism on the front face of the yellow head. Slide the guide post to rotate and lock the internal blade block into position, exposing either the square or rounded metal scoring edge.
Are the screwdriver bits stored securely inside the tool?
Yes. The ribbed yellow handle features integrated storage slots designed to hold both the Phillips and Slotted 1-inch bits tightly, preventing them from falling out when hammering or scoring.
What is the purpose of the top chisel?
The curved metal chisel is fixed directly to the top of the handle. It allows you to clean up the wood edges and pry out residual material from the door frame latch mortise once scored by the template.
